Fun to solve as a novelty, but not very difficultI tend to run hot so my hands heat it up pretty quick and make it easy to solve lol. It’s a fun cube to have as a novelty, but don’t buy this expecting it to be a challenge like the Rubik’s Impossible, which is actually difficult. The sticker’s don’t respond to heat as quickly as you think. It takes a good 5 seconds or so covering it with your finger/palm to heat it up enough to see the colors, and then it takes quite a while before it fades back to black. Because it this, it’s actually pretty easy to solve. If the stickers faded back to black much much quicker, this might actually be a challenge.I’m sure the temperature of the room and the temp of your hands makes a huge difference though.I’m still happy I bought it though because it’s a fun item to add to my collection.

Finally a decent Rubik’s brand puzzleI admit I am not a fan of the Rubik’s brand. Generally the quality of their puzzles terrible (although it has gotten a bit better in recent years, but it’s still way behind the best brands). However I was having trouble locating any 2x2x4 puzzle so I took a chance on this one and it actually turned out to be ok.The turning on the inner layers and the slice layers is a bit stiff, but the outer layers are fine. I haven’t had any problems with lockup or popping. It does shape shift and the individual pieces are quite large compared to a regular sized cube. It’s tiled so there are no stickers to peel off. Overall it’s decent but it definitely could be better. There really aren’t many options for this particular puzzle though so if you really want to try it, I’d say it’s good enough.

GreatLooks intimidating at first. Exact same solve as a regular 3×3, but definitely not for speedcubing. Nice to show off ” hey look at this” kind of thing . Nice add to a collection.

Need to be quickI have always enjoyed Rubic’s cube and this is a fun different challenge. Just make sure you have warm hands because the tiles can change quickly to black.

FantasticThis was a gift for my grandson. He absolutely loves it. The color changes make it so much more fun.

My son loves this oneMy Rubick’s cube obsessed 11 year old loves this addition to his collection. The small change of shortening one row of cubes makes a world of difference and make this a challenge even for someone well versed in solving other cubes. My son figured it out rather quickly but has enjoyed solving it over and over again.

Misleading Rubik CubeOne of the main reasons why we were interested in the cube was because of the colour changing features that were displayed and promoted with it. The claims were that the cube panels would change depending on when they were touched by the holder’s fingers. What’s misleading is that how long it would need to be in contact with the heat source to change colour. We believed it to be quick, but at least in our case…it wasn’t so. It took quite a bit of effort to “change” and when it did it wasn’t a full transition. We were a bit excited about it, and to have the experience come out for us. It was somewhat of a disappointment, while some might be fine with the features of the cube. Others who might have had similar expectations as us, might think of the cube being misleading or even wrong to be labeled as such.

Great product but damaged packagingMy son solves the rubrics and loved this. Have to warm stickers to show colors. Cube turns smooth and seems solid built. Not like some of the cheap ones. 4 * because came like it went through a war zone

Busted up boxI’m sure the actual cube itself is fine….but the package looks like it was kicked across the yard. It’s gonna look very sad in the Easter basket!

Doesn’t look that differentIt doesn’t look that different from a regular Rubik’s cube. I thought it would be darker more like the adverted photos. Still, it’s fun to solve.
